Multicom’s INTELIPage is a multi-purpose paging transmitter capable
of encoding serial data into POCSAG and monitoring on board alarms.
INTELIPage supports the industry standard protocols such as TAP (PET/IXO),
Comp1 and Comp2, so it integrates perfectly with any of our fire alarm
panels and shipboard telephones. With an optional interface, it can also
monitor simple closure alarms to make it the perfect wireless alert system
for almost any onboard system.
INTELIPage includes a standard RS232 port which enables system programming
and serial input from third party systems. In addition, INTELIPage supports
sophisticated batching algorithms ensuring that messages are delivered
as quickly as possible.
Priority Paging Technology
INTELIPage’s priority paging enables the user to assign priorities
to particular messages. This feature is ideal for nurse call suppliers
as it allows cardiac and emergency calls to be transmitted immediately.
The time from alarm activation to message reception is typically under
two seconds.
Alarm Monitoring
INTELIPage incorporates the facility to monitor alarm conditions and call
points. For example, INTELIPage could monitor a fire alarm system. When
the fire panel detects a fire then INTELIPage could contact all pagers
and alert them to the emergency condition.
Onsite Programmable
INTELIPage is able to be programmed on-site with a PC or laptop and a
serial port connection. In addition the programming software may be utilized
for message dispatch. Sending messages is as simple as selecting which
pager is to receive the message and typing in the message that you want
to be displayed.
