History

A little tale about how we came to be...

Multicom, specializing in music, began as a small sound system contracting company for nightclubs and restaurants in 1975. Multicom’s expertise in the Pro Audio industry lead to the design and construction of a sound system for a small cruise line. The opportunity for expansion within this business began to appear quickly.

The introduction into the Maritime business allowed for rapid growth and by 1980 Multicom pioneered the first integrated sound system for marine vessels.

With growing experience and the desire to do more, Multicom broke into what is now a multimillion dollar industry by designing and building the electronics for the first mobile Event Marketing tour in 1985. Event marketing agencies can now be found all over the United States offering mobile tours and events nationwide. Multicom is the largest supplier of electronics and special effects for this ever growing industry.

In 1992, Multicom began manufacturing the line of integrated communications systems (ICS) that are seen today. Multicom’s AEVADS system enhanced the integration of all shipboard systems for the casino and ferry industry. Multicom has provided equipment for a majority of riverboat Casinos in the United States. In recent years, the concentration on communication systems for water based as well as land based casinos has allowed Multicom to address the global market.

Today, we are happy to say that we are still moving forward by building the most advanced communication systems available, and the only one with digital touch panel control. Our commitment to our clients and our staff are what make Multicom the business it is today after 30 years.
