Background Music and Paging

An overhead speaker system with zone specific music and paging can save time and lives in any medical facility.  With Multicoms pedigree for dependable emergency based communication systems in hostile environments - we know how to make your system clear and dependable.

Music in public areas can also have a measurable positive effect.  For many people, a visit to a health care facility can be quite trying.  Music can affect the life-streams and sooth people as they are waiting.

Our systems can also be easily integrated with all emergency and alarm systems to increase safety in the event of any emergency.

Televisions and Mounts in Patient Areas

The special television monitors and mounting stands/brackets approved for medical use are available from Multicom.  We can also provide a new or add on distribution system for any new areas, as well as common area video systems and waiting room entertainment.

Music Systems for Medical Areas

Multicom provides multiple choice music systems for operating rooms that allow for multiple input sources.  From iPod docks, radio broadcasts, internet broadcasts or pre-programmed music by genre.  We also offer special speakers for clean room use, or speakers that will hold up to moisture and the multiple scrubbing and cleanings specific to the operating room.

Video for Learning and Security

Multiple cameras throughput the operating theater can be used for recording or transmitting the details of any procedure.  Camera control can be monitored by anyone in the room and switched easily.  This can be utilized for training, for broadcast to another facility, for recording or for better view for students in the gallery.  It is also a wise choice to limit liability or as a record for patients needing multiple procedures.

Teaching hospitals often require the ability to broadcast a surgery to both doctors and students for training and educational purposes. These surgeries can be broadcast locally within the hospital to training rooms or they can be videoconferenced to universities or other learning institutions. Multiple cameras can be mounted around the room to pick up different angles of the surgery. Speakers mounted throughout the room allow students in remote locations to ask questions during the surgery. Microphones installed in the room allow surgeons and nurses to respond to questions along with providing the ambient noises heard in the operating room. LCD displays in the room allow the surgeons and the room operator to monitor what it is being sent to the viewers.

Another application for AV operating rooms is the ability to monitor the operating rooms from a single location. In this instance, it is similar to the above described room; however, the hospital is the only viewer and they can pull up any live surgery instantly.

Hospital Surveillance

Careful consideration of safety procedures and movement through the hospital can easily be monitored with a carefully planned surveillance system.  One or multiple ares of monitoring can be set up to insure both patient and visitor safety while on hospital grounds.  It is also a benefit to identify suspicious behavior quickly and efficiently throughout the complex.
